We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Corporate Controller in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Corporate Controller, you will be a part of our leadership team, contributing to the financial success and strategic growth of our business. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, maintaining financial integrity, and managing all accounting operations and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee financial reporting across multiple entities, ensuring compliance and maintaining internal controls.
• Safeguard assets and ensure efficient operation of our business.
• Manage the monthly/annual close process, budget, and forecasting for services.
• Handle month-end closing process for each entity including bank reconciliations, supporting all balance sheet accounts, recording accruals, adjusting journal entries, and analyzing results.
• Present company financials and operating results to the executive leadership team.
• Create and implement accounting and operational policies and procedures, resolving and documenting any issues.
• Interface with external auditors/internal stakeholders to execute and lead year-end consolidated external audits.
• Manage the formulation of budgets and forecasts, and prepare variance analyses.
• Assist in developing and performing timely analysis and reporting on operational performance.
• Manage network of accounting systems and partners that can scale with the growth of the brand.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of accounting and finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent within the finance and accounting department.
• Collaborate with Operations Leaders to drive growth and performance.
• Analyze the preparation of Quality of Earnings reports to assess the accuracy and sustainability of a target company's historical earnings.
• Collaborate with external advisors and deal teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of QoE analyses.
• Provide financial expertise during negotiations and contribute to the development of financial models and projections.
• Participate in acquisition/divestiture of subsidiaries by providing expertise on financial implications of the transaction.
• Drive the process of our post-acquisition integration function by developing integration playbooks across multi-department and function groups.
Skills:
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of DCAA
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Experience with ERP Solutions
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP
• Proficiency in General Ledger
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Table
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Table, is expected.
