Aston Carter is working on a new job opportunity in the Kansas City, Missouri area! Our manufacturing company client is seeking a Controller to join their team. This opportunity offers a competitive salary of $43-$48/hr depending on experience.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in accounting with a large company.

Manufacturing and management experience preferred but not required

Description:

•Providing analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support.

•The ability to work independently.

•Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.

•Complete balance sheet reconciliations.

•Budgeting and forecasting.

•Periodic results commentary (weekly and monthly.)

•Creating and preparing financial analysis.

•Product cost analysis.

•Track and communicate capital expenditures.

•Excess and obsolete inventory review.

•Ad hoc reporting.

•Cash management.

•Tax management with support of outside CPA.

•Risk management (insurance, OSHA compliance, asset protection.)

•Human resources management (ADP payroll.)

•Oversee physical inventory accuracy.

•Multi-state sales tax management (18 states currently.)

•Establish and maintain KPIs.

•Establish and maintain strong internal controls.

Additional Skills Qualifications:

•Must be familiar with common accounting concepts, practices, and procedures with a strong emphasis on cost accounting.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal skills are a must. Must be willing to accept and take on ownership of new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment.
