Robert Half's new Controller opening will give you the opportunity to take responsibility for an accounting and clerical department at a successful company. The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the Bethlehem, Pennsylvania region. You will succeed in this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. This role's duties will require effectively managing self and others within strict time constraints when providing client services, leading while also being a team player, generating innovative ideas, and challenging the status quo. 　　Your responsibilities

　　Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

　　Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis

　　Ensure deliverables of self and team meet client expectations

　　Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation

　　Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

　　Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

　　Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

　　Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed

　　Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

　　Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

　　Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis Requirements - Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

　　Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

　　Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

　　The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　CPA or MBA preferred

　　Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

　　Expertise in Cost Savings

　　Year-end Audits experience

　　Solid understanding of Financial Statement

　　Month end closings experience

　　Great attention to detail

　　Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

　　Vow to meet business deadlines

　　Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

　　Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
