Description Robert Half is looking for a qualified candidate to join a Faith Based organization as a Controller in Pueblo, Colorado on a contract basis.
Duties Include:
Financial Operations:
Serve as the primary liaison for parishes, schools, and related entities on accounting and finance-related matters.
Assist with accurate coding of invoices for Catholic Pastoral Center departments.
Monitor daily cash flow for the Catholic Pastoral Center.
Accounts Receivable Management:
Monitor and manage accounts receivable for parishes, schools, and related entities, including payments for loans, Advancing Missionary Discipleship (AMD), and other financial activities.
Prepare and analyze Advancing Missionary Discipleship (AMD) for all parishes, ensuring timely payments and addressing past-due amounts.
Process invoices, payments, and receipts related to clergy pension plans and benefits.
Financial Reporting:
Post monthly journal entries and transactions, ensuring accuracy.
Meet annually with CPC Managers to discuss budget preparation and financial responsibilities.
Provide financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and investment updates.
Audit and Compliance:
Manage the annual audit process, collaborating with auditing firms and preparing audit reports.
Perform general ledger account reconciliation and review.
Maintain the chart of accounts to ensure accuracy.
Financial Review and Approval:
Review and approve accounts payable and receivable for accuracy and timely payment.
Review and approve bank reconciliations on a monthly basis.
Monitor and approve payroll for Catholic Pastoral Center, Catholic Foundation, and ten parishes.
Documentation and Filing:
Maintain all loan documents, including agreements, invoices, payments, and past-due notices.
Review credit card reconciliation monthly for accuracy and proper application of payments.
Record depreciation as necessary.
Support department in maintaining both paper and electronic filing systems.
