Job Description Summary:
Manages a group of analysts that are responsible for performing strategic analysis to improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting and operational performance for consumer products and related divisions, such as credit cards. This position requires determining key priorities for their team while also providing analytical and technical guidance to analysts to drive project completion. Key functions involve developing asset quality monitoring, identifying business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions, and executing strategic enhancements. Manages the team's analysis focusing on criteria margins, model score use, forecasting, portfolio trends, and demographic performance. Responsible for conducting interviews, training Card Strategy/ Consumer Products Analysts, and guiding all aspects of project development. Communicates business trends creates financial assessments and interprets analytics for senior management. Proven experience at developing technical skills of their team. Sound knowledge of SAS / SQL, financial statements, and business processes preferred. 5+ years Strategy Management experience preferred
Bank of America's Fraud Prevention and Detection organization is looking for an experienced leader to develop and drive the business strategy for Account Takeover (ATO) fraud prevention. The role will work closely with fraud strategies, operations, claims and authentication partners, having significant creative latitude to conceptualize, define and implement solutions that reduce ATO losses.
The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, innovative, and able to work effectively with minimal direction. They will be capable of managing analytical resources to develop and maintain a data-driven strategic roadmap. A successful candidate will be comfortable engaging with senior leaders across the enterprise and be able to balance the need to mitigate fraud vulnerabilities while considering the goals of the broader organization.
The role will be responsible for several key areas:
1. Identifying and controlling for Account Takeover risks introduced by
the development of new technology, processes, or services
2. Refining relationship between account security and customer friction
through ongoing collaboration with Authentication partners
3. Defining both short and long-term strategy for a wide range of
processes that overlap or fall between functional groups
4. Adapting alert methods, structure, and prioritization based on trends
to optimize operational outcomes
5. Influencing initiative funding and prioritization where technical gaps
are identified
6. Determining strategic leverage points and implementing appropriate
controls in partnership with functional stakeholders
7. Enhancing recognition and treatment approach for common data
attributes leveraged during fraudulent activity
Required Skills:
- Advanced SQL and/or SAS coding ability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including proficiency in both Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience developing and executing business strategy
- Expertise in building and managing stakeholder relationships and presenting to senior leaders
- Ability to derive and present data-driven insights in order to influence change
Desired Skills:
- B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field
- Fraud and/or Claims background with focus on Account Takeover
- Understanding of statistical methods for developing performance metrics
- Functional knowledge of multiple products and/or channels (e.g. Credit, Debit, Digital, Call Center, etc.)
- Proficiency coding in SAS and/or Python and using Hadoop Impala/Hive
- Prior project management experience
- Experience developing solutions with external vendor partners
