Under general supervision and in compliance with established policies and procedures, the Consumer Lending Relations Advisor I is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with vendors related to building, remodeling and construction on homes, that results in processing and submitting loan applications related to home equity and home improvement loans.
Create new contractor and builder relationships. Manage existing relationships.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with home contractors and builders with regular phone contact, on-site visits and through home builder community events.Review applications received from contractors and building companies and submit to Centralized Lending for decisioning.Interview members, in person and by phone, applying for a loan. Assist member in selecting the appropriate loan type and ensure information meets all Veridian lending policies and guidelines.Prepare all necessary loan documents. Determine value of collateral being offered as security. Analyze all information pertinent to the granting of a loan and in collaborating with underwriting to determine action, including approval, counteroffer, and disapproval.Regularly present to partners and clients, keeping them up to date on the products and services available to finance their customers' projects.Review and monitor loans referred by partners and clients; including application quality, volume and loan performance.Consistently achieve the established sales targets and loan growth goals that align with department and corporate goals.
