In this highly visible customer facing role as Validation Services Consulting Engineer, you will:
Engage with customers and other Cisco stakeholders on successful planning and execution of validation engagements.
Support next generation Wireless 802.11 and Catalyst customers to accelerate implementation of new platforms/solutions.
Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.
Drive requirements discussions, analyze test requirements, build test lab configurations, author and execute test plans, and document results.
Identify key issues and gaps and work with engineering and delivery teams to resolve them.
Develop/integrate new technologies into lab environments.
Collaborate with Solution Architects from Delivery and Sales teams regarding future initiatives and securing customer business.
Innovate to gain efficiency and accelerate validation efforts.
Identify and facilitate new business growth opportunities.
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
The Team:
Solution Validation Services (SVS) is an organization within Cisco Customer Experience (CX) focused on validating complex customer-specific networks and accelerating adoption of new technologies and solutions.
Our team has expertise across the breadth of the Cisco product portfolio along with extensive expertise in a variety of third-party and competitive products. With hundreds of engineers and world-class facilities around the world, SVS helps design and deploy the technologies our customers need to give their business a competitive edge in today's business climate.
As part of the SVS team, you will help drive Cisco CX growth by designing next generation solution validation labs and by validating these solutions for Enterprise and SP customers. You will also help inform customers about trending network technologies and drive accelerated adoption of new technologies and solutions.
Minimum Requirements and Desired Skills:
Candidates must have deep technical expertise in IOS-XE C9800 Wireless Lan Controller, advanced in enterprise routing and switching - Catalyst IOS-XE, advanced in Linux and its tools such as VIM and Netplan proficient with Amazon Web Services, intermediate in knowledge of scripting and python, proficient with RADSEC and ISE802.11 Wireless technologies, Core routing and switching, and the Cisco Catalyst product line. Candidates must also have strong customer interaction and consulting skills. They must be able to articulate complex concepts in easy-to-understand language. Candidates must be proficient in customer facing discussions as well as the technologies listed above. Typically requires BS plus 4-5+ years related experience, or a MS with 2-3 years of related experience.

Minimum Qualifications
CCNA Wireless, CCNP preferred.
Strong knowledge of Cisco Wireless portfolio WLCs, APs.
Working knowledge of NX-OS and IOS-XE configuration.
In addition to above, experience in one or more of the following: BGP, OSPF Routing, LAN Switching
Test and validation experience (hardware or software).
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and formal presentation).
Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex network problems.
Knowledge of Industry Test Tools.
Hands on experience with IXIA and/or SPIRENT tools is desirable.
