  Project Description: The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works has awarded our team the contract to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection services for the new South-Dade Bus Maintenance Facility located on a 20-acre site located at SW 127 Ave and Biscayne Drive. The Project will include a two-story maintenance and operations facility with approximately 54k s.f. for maintenance parts storage and approximately 27k s.f. for dispatch, driver, and training areas. Bus parking deck will house approximately 100 articulated Battery Electric Buses.

  Supporting document control efforts, room coordination, and other electronic systems as determined by project.

  Implementing systems for monitoring documentation and communications from both internal and external clients.

  Ensuring compliance with tracking requirements in accordance with approved procedures

  Supporting the receipt, tracking, and monitoring of documents through standard document management programs.

  Documenting deficiencies between design and execution of construction.

  Performing additional duties as assigned.

  Minimum Qualifications:

  High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.

  6 years of related experience.

  Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience or good understanding of ProjectWise, Bluebeam (pdf) and SharePoint.

  Construction phase project type delivery

  Industry construction management / inspection software

  Good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.

  Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic.

  Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn new computer, smartphone or related applications and programs.

  Advanced knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.

  Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings, contract provisions, and specifications.

  Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

  CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing.

  Additional Compensation:

  All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

  Work Location Options:

  Successful candidate will be required to work in office and field locations as needed.

  Driver's License Requirements:

  An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
