Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Provides close leadership for the Carroll Office staff – including PAR’s, Medical Assistants and RN’s..
· Acts as liaison between office staff and Manager and liaison between Carroll Office and other departments, may need to travel to other Iowa Heart Center offices.
· Attends committee meetings as requested.
· Maintains equipment.
· Insures that all staff are current with all Mandatory requirements.
· Develops and maintains daily and weekly schedules, including work flow
· Provides orientation to the Clinical area for newly hired staff.
· Assists Office Manager with supervision of all staff, including performance evaluations, processing time cards, disciplinary actions, hiring, job training, counseling, and terminations in coordination with Human Resources.
· Maintains current policies and procedures.
· Responsible for IHC competency completion
· Operate required vehicle(s) in a safe manner to perform required duties of the position.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
· Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Graduate from an accredited program (CMA or RN), with 2 years clinical experience preferred.
· Current CMA/RMA or RN certificate, in good standing.
· Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
· Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained by the end of the orientation period (approximately six (6) weeks. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
· Valid Iowa Driver’s/Chauffeurs License required, must meet Mercy’s Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to drive per Iowa state law.
· Cardiovascular Medical Terminology class completion within 1 year of hire.
