Description:
Project: $40 million casino additions-tower, starbucks, lobby, parking garage, new fixtures, etc. Been out on site for 3 years. Minimum through October, but plans to be out there for foreseeable future. QA/QC: Assists with the development and implementation or audit protocols Audits third party vendors to ensure quality and compliance Creates weekly reports to locate errors Orders and maintains inventory and equipment Ensures that requests from management or customers are handled in a timely manner Performs specified or required or assigned tests to verify that control measures are adequate to provide a product which conforms to contract requirements. Schedules, documents the results of, and maintains a log of all inspections that are required to conform to the project contract requirements. Clearly documents, corrects and re-inspects all non-conformances prior to covering up work. Project engineer: Assists in execution of project from beginning to end Assists in each phase of the project including initiation, project coordination, meeting planning, documentation, project deliverables, administrative tasks (e.g. project status reporting) and project close out Under guidance of Project Manager, to plan, schedule, and manage project timelines Contribute to all team efforts by taking ownership of assigned tasks and duties, and is fully transparent and accountable for the successful performance of assigned tasks Performs all duties with the highest possible degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail Reviews project documentation for accuracy and completeness Manages/assists with preconstruction plan development Prepares submittal packages as assigned Tracks Requests for Information (RFIs) Reads and understands complex drawings and specifications Attends pre-construction/safety meetings Reviews shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications by direct review and by leveraging the knowledge and experience of others in the project team when necessary Attends preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work. Verifies and documents that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project Assists with required meetings with the customer, superintendent, and the foreman responsible for the definable work prior to the start of each new phase of the work. Coordinates specified or required tests to verify a product/install conforms to contract requirements Stops work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work Schedules and coordinates punch list work Coordinates the timely completion of as-builts Maintain open communication with field staff regarding all issues and work to resolutions
