The construction work scope is performed by the Building Trades Unions. The Construction Manager is integral in the planning, scheduling, execution, and close out of all construction projects. Safety is the number one priority along with maintaining compliance with regulations and requirements. The work scope includes various aspects of the construction industry such as: mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, instrumentation, and all types of remediation.A day in the life of a Construction Manager includes, but is not limited to, the following:* Responsible Manager duties pertaining to work package development, work package changes/revisions, approvals, and close out.* Overseeing and managing field construction activities.* Overseeing review of subcontractor submittals.* Engaging in day-to-day communication with facility and functional support organizations and relay information to the field crews.* Attending and participating in Plan of the Month, Plan of the Week, and Plan of the Day meetings.* Assigning daily responsibilities to Field Work Supervisors (FWS), including management of overtime work projections and approvals.* Serving as the point of contact for emergency preparedness drills and events around job sites.* Performing monthly management observation's and participate in event investigations.* Interfacing daily with Category 2 Operating Facility Managers and Operators.* Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor 'down time' claims (white cards).* Monitoring upcoming training conflicts and ensure field work is covered when necessary.* Working in, and leading an environment where safety is the number one priority.* Participating in daily walkdowns of construction job sites.Basic Qualifications*Manager Grade 20 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 8 years of relevant experience.Desired Qualifications* Extensive experience leading/managing construction industry work scope.* Construction experience.* Responsible Manager qualification.* FWS qualification* RAD II training* 40 hr HAZ* The ability to facilitate complex construction issues in the field between contractors and project staff.* Proven experience at managing construction/project issues while meeting schedule and cost objectives.* Ability to promote safety in the workplace, and ability to solve work execution issues as they pertain to safe execution of work.* RAD Contamination remediation experience.* Certification as a Safety Trainin
