JOB TITLE: Agriculture and Small Business Development ProgramCoordinator
JOB SUMMARY: A 12-month Coordinator position responsible for planningand delivery of
consulting services and training initiatives in both agriculture andsmall
business development. Position involves collaborating with industrypartners,
subject matter experts, and district leadership to design and implementtailored
programs catering to client needs. Coordinator will assist clients withfinancial
statements, cash flow development, capitalization requirements, andbusiness
plan development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/
Experience: Bachelors Degree in related field preferred. Relatedexperience in agriculture and
small business preferred.
Certification: Valid Oklahoma Drivers License. Must have or be willingto seek certifications as
required by the Superintendent or designee.
Dependability: Regular attendance following a designated work schedule.Must be able to work
extended hours and additional days/evenings and participate in
meetings/conferences as scheduled within the district, state, andout-of-state as
required. Must manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously as
required by position.
Skills Required: Strong leadership and collaboration skills. Excellentanalytical, problem solving,
organizational and project management skills. Effective communicationand
interpersonal skills. Ability to present ideas, plans of action andinstruction in a
logical and sequential order. Experience assisting with loanapplications and
capitalization sources for agriculture and small business operations.
Physical
Requirements: Ability to travel between campuses and throughout thedistrict as needed. Ability
to freely move arms and fingers to operate instructional equipment.Ability to stand
for long periods of time and to move around a classroom area. Requiresstooping,
bending, and pulling. Ability to lift 25 pounds from floor to a 4-footlevel.
Mental/Emotional
Requirements: Moderate to extreme emotional effort required. Must dealwith issues, problems,
and frequent deadlines which can create high stress. Must work on avariety of
projects at the same time. Ability to read and analyze common technicaljournals,
financial reports, and legal documents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Develop and implement tailored programs for agriculture and smallbusiness clients.
2. Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development toprogram clients.
3. Assist clients with developing financial statements, cash flowanalysis and loan assistance.
4. Identify and facilitate access to capitalization sources for clientsas needed.
5. Collaborate with district-wide stake holders to align adulteducation programs with district goals.
6. Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry partners toenhance client opportunities.
7. Stay informed of industry trends and integrate relevant updates intoeducation programs.
8. Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements based ondata and feedback.
9. Participate in professional development activities to stay currentwith the latest information.
10. Represent the district at community meetings and events, as needed.
11. Develop, coordinate, and implement special projects assigned by theSuperintendent or designee.
12. Employ project management principles, techniques, and bestpractices to ensure projects are successful
from inception through to completion.
13. Conducts research and data analysis in support of core initiativesand special projects and communicates
findings.
14. Monitor project progress, pro vide timely updates to allstakeholders, and recommend modifications and
alternative solutions as needed.
15. Evaluate the effectiveness of assigned projects and take initiativein resolving issues as they arise.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintain a line of communication and work cooperatively with allstaff and service areas.
2. Develop and maintain a line of communication with patrons, businessand industry, economic
development organization, and other educational institutions for thepurpose of fulfilling the stated beliefs,
mission, and vision of Northwest Technology Center.
4. Perform other tasks and assume duties that may be required.
