WHO WE ARE :
Group14’s Major Projects team is tasked with taking the company’s strategic development objectives and making them a reality. Comprised of individuals with varied technical, construction and project management backgrounds, the Major Projects team works with all facets of the organization to define, execute and manage scope, schedule and budget for the company’s largest, most complicated and critical projects.
The Construction Manager is a critical member of a construction project team responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction activities. This role involves managing various aspects of construction, from project initiation to final delivery, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with not only project documentation, but relevant regulations and safety standards.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING :
Project Planning and Scheduling :
-Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
-Coordinate with project stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
-Create and maintain construction schedules, identifying critical paths and potential bottlenecks.
Resource Management :
-Supervise and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and labor.
-Procure and allocate necessary materials, equipment, and resources for the project.
-Monitor and optimize resource utilization to ensure efficiency.
Budget Control :
-Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and cost variances.
-Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend changes as needed.
Quality Assurance :
-Oversee the construction process to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
-Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to address any non-compliance issues.
Regulatory Compliance :
-Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
-Secure necessary permits and licenses for the project.
Safety Management :
-Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures on the construction site.
-Monitor and report safety incidents and take corrective action when necessary.
Communication :
-Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and government officials.
-Provide regular project updates, reports, and progress reviews.
Problem Solving :
-Identify and resolve project issues and challenges as they arise.
-Make decisions related to project changes and adapt to unexpected situations.
Documentation and Reporting :
-Maintain detailed project records, including daily logs, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
-Generate regular reports on project progress, budgets, and quality control.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :
-Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
-At least 10 years of experience as a career Construction Manager, construction focused project manager or similar role in the construction industry.
-Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
-Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
-Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
-Willingness to travel to project locations both within and outside of the US.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE :
- CCM (Certified Construction Manager) or similar certification is a plus.
-Experience with project scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
-Experience with Project Management Information Systems (PMISs, e.g., Kahua, PM Web, etc.)

The annual base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $170,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
