Your Impact:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our Richmond, VA office to support the delivery of multiple local wastewater utility projects. This individual will coordinate directly with the client project manager and will be responsible for managing assigned inspectors, project engineers, and other staff on the CM team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Management of multiple active worksites concurrently throughout the public right of way.
Interface directly with client and residents on as needed basis to coordinate successful execution of projects.
Enforce compliance with the construction plans and specifications.
Chair and record project progress, pre-construction, and coordination meetings as necessary.
Manage cost and schedule changes for assigned projects.
Review and certify daily reports prepared by inspectors.
Review and accept record drawings provided by contractors.
Process submittals, RFI’s and other project documentation.
Reviews monthly progress schedules and pay applications.
Complete constructability reviews and provide quantity takeoffs for construction work orders.
Here's What You'll Need:
10 years construction experience as a Resident Engineer, Project Manager or Construction Manager
Prior experience managing junior engineering staff
Must have the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and to react to change in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative, team oriented perspective
Disciplined time management skills
Proficiency with MS Office Suite of tools
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management
Experience serving as an Agency CM/Owner’s Representative for large scale wastewater utility projects
Experience with unit price construction contracts
Experience in utility construction work in the Public Right of Way (ROW)
