In A NutshellRandM is looking for a team-oriented ACI-certified Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) inspector to support expansion of our construction inspection team.
As a member of the RandM team, the inspector will perform inspection services to provide assurance that improvements are constructed in conformance with plans and specifications. The successful applicant will interact with contractors and project owners regarding assigned inspections and nonconforming items. The inspector will also complete timely reports as required or requested by the client.
Occasional travel within Alaska may be required, but this position will primarily support work within the Anchorage area.
The successful applicant will be expected to represent RandM and actively participate in professional organizations and community activities.
The construction inspector will report to either the Group Manager of Special Inspections, the Group Manager of Construction Administration or the Vice President: Construction Services.
On Any Given DayProvide on-site inspection and reporting on various PCC placements, including pavement surfaces, foundations, slabs and precasts.Review plans, specifications and mix designs for evaluation of PCC materials and placement conformance.Advise through verbal and written reports to owners and contractors on the quality status of contractor workmanship and incorporated PCC work products.Advise on materials testing programs.Minimum QualificationsApplicants must possess at least one of the following qualifications:
