The use of tape measuresand converting decimals to fractions will also be part of the dailytasks. The use of ladders, lifts and overhead cranes may also berequired. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assembles structures and structurecomponents such as wall panels and roof trusses. Processes includeinsertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting partsand use of both hand and power tools. Ensures that sub-assembled andassembled items meet specific quality specifications and accurateconformance with dimension specifications and print drawings Demonstrateteamwork by working well with others, helping as needed, and respondingpositively to constructive feedback Completing daily tasks in a timelymanner Follow safe manufacturing practices Performs other job duties asassigned QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diplomaor equivalent (GED) required Must be able to lift 50 lbs Must be able tostand for 8-11 hours per day. Must be able to ascend/descend laddersfrequently. Must be able to operate general hand tools Must be willingto assist in other areas when needed Must be able to work in a teamenvironment with Welders/ Electricians PREFERRED SKILLS Ideal candidatewill have some experience with construction/framing or steel erecting.Knowledge/experience with blue prints is a plus.
