　　D.R. Horton, Inc.is currently looking for an_Construction Area Manager_. The right candidate will supervise a group of 4-25 Superintendents and/or Project Managers that are assigned to subdivisions in the area. Update reports and ensure quality control in the houses built. Implement all company policies and procedures throughout the entire construction process.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

　　Plan and direct construction activities in the field either directly or through utilizing Project Managers and SuperintendentsSet build times on each plan and provide schedules to meet the build timesMaintain responsibility for the profitability of the homes being built in assigned subdivisions and manage all cost by reviewing field purchase ordersMaintain total involvement with training, communication and development of Project Managers, Superintendents and field personnelOversee field operations, production times and ensure quality control so the homes built meet company standards and are ready for homeowner orientations/occupancyEnsure assigned subdivisions meet all safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulationsEnsure all homes in construction area are constructed to contract, specification and detailEnsure all work invoiced is fully acceptable to company specifications and is 100% completeVisit job sites periodically to spot check quality and policy enforcementConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyInterface with public agencies in obtaining all necessary permits and approvals; or work with the Permit Department in obtaining permits and approvalsInterface with all municipal governing bodies, public utilities and industry associations; or work with the Land Development Department in obtaining objectivesHandle escalated problems with subcontractorsRespond to unsatisfactory survey cards and NRS responsesAbility to travel overnightSupervisory Responsibilities

　　Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityFour to six years of related experience and/or trainingMust have a vehicle and a valid driver’s licenseAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
