Description

HDL Research Lab builds power electronics for the military. Are you detail-oriented and enjoy working with your hands? Join our team as a Conformal Coat Technician, where you will help protect electronic assemblies with specialized coatings to ensure their durability and performance. If you have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn, we will provide the necessary training.

Apply conformal coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) using spray, brush, or dip methods.Assist with potting tasks to protect electronic components.Prepare and clean parts according to drawings and work instructions.Inspect your work to ensure it meets quality standards.Help with rework on any defective parts.Suggest process improvements when possible.Follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, as required.Perform other manufacturing-related tasks as needed.Requirements

::: {bind="html: Job.Requirements"}- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.- 1+ years of related experience in manufacturing, assembling, painting, coating, or similar.- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and work instructions.- Strong attention to detail and steady hands for precision work.- Ability to follow industry standards (IPC J-STD-001, Space Addendum, and IPC-A-610 - we will provide certification assistance).- A team player who can work efficiently in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.- Strong mechanical aptitude.- An interest in electronics.- Ability to demonstrate visual acuity.

Preferred, But Not Required:

Previous experience in electronic assembly.Experience using spray guns, dip coating, or other precision tools.Why Join Us?
