We’re hiring a Conference Planner to support the planning, development and implementation of virtual, hybrid and in-person meetings and conferences.
The Team
You will work with a team of communications and events professionals, supporting one or more of our federal clients to bring their vision to life.
The Work
The Conference Planner will be an excellent communicator with strong collaboration skills and a proactive work approach, plus a genuine interest in events. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with our federal government clients and internal team members.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the coordination and execution of regional in-person events
Assist with work plans and track milestones/timelines for multiple meetings, conferences and/or projects simultaneously
Assist with coordinating logistics for events, to include meeting set-up, transcription and meeting summary
Assist with vendor management, project planning, budget management and staff coordination
Facilitate aspects of meeting planning, such as ordering supplies, printing/packing/shipping conference materials, registration and marketing outreach
Coordinate pre-event needs, day-of needs and post-event needs for reporting and lessons learned
Support on-site event management, to include conference logistics (audiovisual rental; signage and/or poster board rental; material preparation), speaker reimbursements, onsite staffing, and post-event reporting
Support administrative duties, such as scheduling meeting and coordinating deliverable feedback
Support teams on complex programs – ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met
What You Must Have (Requirements)
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years’ experience in conference planning and event experience
What We’d Like You to Have
Experience with Box, Slack, GovDelivery, Zoom, WebEx, Eventbrite, Cvent, or similar
Proficiency in MS Office
Willing and able to travel (domestic) up to 25% annually
Excellent writing skills
Experience with a team environment; strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Energetic, self-starter and resourceful problem-solver
Attention to detail; ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$52,488.00 - $89,230.00
