The Global Amazon Expense Management Team is seeking an innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Program Manager that can deliver results in a variety of projects across our enterprise-wide expense management framework (Concur). This position is responsible for facilitating the successful deployment of each initiative through collaboration with both our internal and external partners, as well as ensuring that we enhance and improve our existing processes and procedures through automation when possible.
Key job responsibilities
Define and develop the project plan, deployment approach, and stakeholder engagement model for a large scale system improvements, implementation, and transition.
Analyze business needs, system functionality, and align on requirements.
Oversee, develop and execute testing plans to ensure solutions meet business needs
Measure, evaluate, and report on the status of the program.
Drive innovation and break through improvements in your team’s processes and practices.
Identify the opportunities that will provide ways to scale controllership and employee experience while leveraging technology.
Partner with other Amazon teams impacted by your initiatives, while liaising and collaborating with external partners, to align timelines and expectations.
Work with operations teams to drive improvements.
Create and manage the communication strategy for promoting and highlighting your strategy, priorities, and the status of your projects/program.
Provide ongoing inquiry and configuration support to end users
A day in the life
Primary focus within Expense Management team will be to partner with internal stakeholders (Technical teams, Risk Audit, Tax, Travel, etc) as well as our external partner (Concur) to gather requirements, assess existing system functionality vs. future state, and proactively identify gaps, and drive solutions relative to expense reimbursement management. The ability to work cross functionally and to identify barriers is imperative to the success of these projects, and being able to dive deep and develop subject matter expertise of our core system functionality and upstream systems amidst ambiguity will be critical to accomplishing this.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
5+ years of program or project management experience
5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules
Experience defining and executing program requirements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
Concur or similar expense management platform administration
