Computer Operator

　　Federated Hermes, Inc. is seeking a Computer Operator to join its technology team. 

　　WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

　　Technical school or associate degree or equivalent experience (1-2 years of data processing environment) required.  Bachelor's degree or related experience preferredOne year experience in computer operations preferredWorking knowledge of the production layered applications requiredWorking knowledge of all the computer systems, both hardware and software requiredWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

　　Key members of the operations team who provide 24X7X365 onsite support of the data centers and technical infrastructure.Perform cable installations and removals in accordance with cable management best practice and BISD change policy.Coordinate and participate in equipment installations and decommissioning (racking/powering on/connecting fiber/connecting network, decommissioning equipment, decommissioning network and fiber, etc.).Monitor, measure, record and trend all data center environmental factors (Temperature, power, cabinet slots, etc.).Ensure that all hardware and software problems are logged (tickets) and the appropriate people are notified, and process is followed.Taking ownership of the system management monitoring tools.Monitor all system events, properly document event, notify support staff and facilitate recovery with support staff.Provide off hours (Service Desk) support.Provide assistance to the Desktop Support team.For more than 60 years, Federated Hermes (FHI) has provided world-class investment solutions to financial professionals in the United States and around the world.
