Job Description
Are you a highly motivated, engaged student currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering? Are you looking to do meaningful, exciting work during your summer break? Then come aboard as AMERICAN SYSTEMS' next Computer Engineering Intern!
As a Computer Engineering Intern, you will:
Work with the latest, cutting edge technology
Provide creative solutions to complex problems
Work with a team of driven, supportive and highly skilled professionals.
A week in the life of a Computer Engineering Intern:
Serve as a member of an advanced technical team.
Analyze computer science, engineering, and other software engineering problems
Perform software and hardware development, integration, and testing for aircraft avionics systems.
Use development tools to update tasks and stories, check-in, and version control
Analyze architectural and functional requirements, specifications, and interfaces
Develop and apply automated solutions to problems.
Contribute to software specifications and designs for proposed solutions
Works with the development team to understand new requirements to support mission objectives
Perform software and system integration and testing functions
JOB REQUIREMENTS
US citizenship required. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
1-2 years of experience related to Computer Engineering
GPA 3.0
Excellent documentation and report writing skills

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
