Our IST Air and Space Technology Sector is seeking a qualified candidate to apply advanced knowledge in the areas of engineering, computer science, and information technology for the technical design, development, and implementation of complex programming projects supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. As a member of our team, you will develop solutions to unique client needs in research and development to improve the performance envelope of software and/or hardware systems and architecture, as well as processing performance.Essential Job Functions:Research new capabilities to improve the performance envelope of existing software/hardware systems and architecture.Design, develop, and prototype these new capabilities.Document capabilities developed and provide user manual.Give technical direction to junior programmers.Use initiative and independent judgment in resolving complex issues.Work both individually and with a broader engineering team.Requirements:Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.At least a BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or Information Technology with at least 5 years of related experience.Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to maintain clearance.Experience in object-oriented languages for research, development, and production.Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.Desired Skills:Knowledge and experience working with NASIC software/hardware systems.Project leadership and client interface skills.•DCS Corp is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity/Male/Female/Veterans/Pay Transparency Employer.
