A role in Corporate Compliance and Ethics means providing support and managing key compliance areas for Target including stores, distribution centers and at headquarters. You will also be a part of helping Target maintain a positive work environment by coordinating efforts in its Ethics office.
Position Overview:
This role is responsible for implementation of Target Stores Backroom safety monitoring activities, creating and maintaining compliance documentation to ensure potential issues are remediated and sustainable and effective remediation plans are in place to mitigate/eliminate risk. As a compliance consultant you will manage areas of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (backroom safety and drive up) Compliance Program to ensure Target remains in compliance with our privacy and records regulatory obligations.
The role will engage with a wide range of leaders and teams, both in the United States and India, communicating them on Store safety compliance requirements and holding them accountable to implementing an appropriate remediation plan. Role must have ability to drive change, hold leaders accountable, strong communication and program management skills, and be comfortable with minimal direction.
This function includes supporting a wide variety of Global compliance programs remotely from India such as ESIM – Environment Sensitive Inventory Management, Women Infant & Children/Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (WIC & SNAP) compliance, Adult Beverage compliance, and pricing compliance etc. This position will also support regulatory inspections, lead special projects, and support potential compliance issues risks from for new stores initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Support remote compliance monitoring programs for Stores, DCs, Fulfillment Centers.
Assist in developing compliance programs based on new and existing company-established best practices/processes and policies.
Collect required documentation from stakeholders to demonstrate compliance to regulatory obligations
Collaborate with program leadership to support the continuous improvement
Understand an follow risk prioritization to drive test plans
Work directly with the Field Compliance Support team to ensure proper expectations, performance, process, and reporting of key compliance programs
Prepare management reports and presentations as assigned and track volume and trends.
Collaborate with program leadership to support the continuous improvement of the third party audit program
Identify relevant metrics and prepare regular reporting or presentations to department Other duties as assigned

About You:
Four year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in developing compliance programs
Proven ability to perform reviews, audits, monitoring controls
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, and collaborate effectively across departments and externally
Ability to escalate in times of conflicting priorities, and ensuring adherence to deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the team
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
