  Description

  JOB DESCRIPTION:

  Consults with management and staff to design, develop and maintain a website.

  Develops, writes and edits various communications materials including correspondence, newsletters, brochures and articles.

  Develops and maintains effective methods for distributing communication materials and information.

  Maintains required record-keeping and documentation.

  May train staff in the use of communications technology.

  May utilize various aspects of social media to accomplish work objectives.

  Performs related responsibilities as required.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Should be a strong writer, a creative thinker, flexible, open to collaboration across multiple university and healthcare departments, with impeccable organization skills.

  Looking for someone willing to learn and ask lots of questions.

  Anyone with prior journalism or media relations experience is enthusiastically encouraged to apply.

  And if you have an eye for visual storytelling – or even just a burgeoning interest in design, photography, and/or video editing – that would be a wonderful bonus, though not required.

  NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice toemployee.
