  Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in related field and three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted. Grade 5 (Salaried)Position Description:The University of Louisville (UofL) seeks a highly motivated Communications & Marketing Specialist II to join the Digital Transformation Center (DTC). The candidate will develop and execute a plan to meet the program and enrollment goals for the Digital Transformation Center. This position will cultivate contacts throughout the community and region by creating opportunities for upskilling/reskilling digital skills at a professional level using DTC programs. This position will manage all social media and media outlets for the DTC and all projects under the DTC including the NCAE Cybersecurity Program.The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing various social media platforms while also showcasing proficiency in graphic design to craft engaging digital content.This is a full-time, benefited position that is dependent on grant/contract funding.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdeate and execute comprehensive communication and marketing plans.Manage all social media platforms and website content for the DTC and its programs.Create engaging content for diverse channels: social media, website flyers, and brochures.Utilize graphic design expertise to conceptualize and produce visually compelling materials.Ensure alignment of visual content with the overall marketing strategy.Collaborate with teams to maintain brand consistency across all communication mediums.Stay updated on design trends and tools to enhance content quality and effectiveness.Establish and maintain effective communication with different stakeholders.Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external partners of the University.Maintain records database of productivity and prospect information.Provide support to the team with various other duties as required.Preferred QualificationsExperience (2+ years) in marketing and communication roles, with a portfolio demonstrating graphic design proficiency.Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented approach with a focus on maintaining brand consistency and quality in all materials.Collaborative mindset and ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.Continuous learning attitude to stay updated with the latest trends and tools in marketing, communication, and design.Experience working in an educational institution, or a similar setting is a plus.CompetenciesProject management skills: organized, task oriented, with the ability to follow up with inquiries and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks efficiently.Flexibility: ability to shift directions as needed for the good of the program or organization.Interpersonal: can build effective, strong working relationships with employees, colleagues, management, participants, and other professionals through trust, communication, and credibility.Graphic Design Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create compelling visual content for various mediums.Content Creation: Ability to ideate and produce engaging written and visual content tailored for different communication channels.Marketing Strategy: Understanding of marketing principles to contribute effectively to the development and execution of marketing plans.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively engage with stakeholders and convey messages clearly.Brand Management: Understanding the University branding principles and the ability to maintain brand consistency across all communication materials.Adaptability and Creativity: Ability to adapt to changing trends, think creatively, and innovate in content creation and communication strategies.Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate the performance of communication strategies and make data-driven decisions.Problem-Solving: Aptitude to identify challenges and proactively develop solutions to overcome obstacles in communication and marketing endeavors.Target Compensation Maximum: $68,900Target Compensation Minimum: $45,900Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.Equal Employment OpportunityThe University of Louisville is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, and is committed to providing employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, sex, age, color, national origin, ethnicity, creed, religion, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression, marital status, pregnancy, or veteran status.
