In the Communications Manager role, you will play acrucial role in advancing the organization\'s mission by developing andimplementing comprehensive communication strategies by: StrategicCommunication Planning: Develop and execute an overarching communicationstrategy aligned with the organization\'s goals and values. Collaboratewith leadership to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with local mediaoutlets. Write and distribute press releases, coordinate interviews, andact as the primary spokesperson for the organization. Content Creation:Create compelling content for various platforms, including website,social media, newsletters, and other marketing materials. Assist witheducating and maintaining the brand via internal documents andcommunication. Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timelyand relevant messaging. Digital Presence: Manage and enhance theorganization\'s online presence through social media platforms, websitecontent, and other digital channels. Monitor and analyze digital metricsto optimize engagement and reach. Community Engagement: Fosterrelationships with community partners, stakeholders, and supporters.Organize and promote events to raise awareness and support for theorganization. Internal Communications: Ensure consistent and transparentcommunication within the organization. Provide staff with the necessarytools and information to effectively represent the organizationincluding an internal newsletter and communications. Provide the toolsneeded to manage our collective voice and message. To be successful inthis role, you will need: Bachelor\'s degree or relevant experience inCommunications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field isrequired. Experience in lieu of education will be considered. A strongbackground in communications, marketing, and public relations, with apassion for social justice and homelessness advocacy is required. Priornonprofit experience is preferred. Proven experience in communications,with a focus on nonprofit or social impact organizations preferred.Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear andcompelling messages is required. Experience with media relations,including press release writing and media outreach is required.Proficiency in managing social media platforms and digital contentcreation is required. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills isrequired. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in adynamic, results-focused environment is required. Passion for socialjustice and commitment to the mission of ending homelessness isrequired.
