As an Integration Office Program Manager residing within the Global Services organization, you will play an important role in the planning and execution of Commercial Banking's integration activities in support of J.P. Morgan Chase's acquisition of First Republic Bank, which was announced in May 2023. You will be responsible for a number of program management activities and will work across all parts of the Commercial Banking organization, and with key partners in other JPMC lines of business. Key areas of focus for integration include deposit accounts, payments/ treasury management solutions, lending products, and digital channel profiles. Additonally, you will work closely with Commercial Banking workstream owners and firmwide teams to refine and execute on integration plans, manage issue/ risk logs, and lead or participate in working sessions in support of integration planning and risk/ issue remediation and will also provide status reporting support for senior stakeholders and the firmwide integration management office.
Job Responsibilities:
Own and/ or contribute to portions of the Commercial Banking integration plan, which is currently in development across multiple workstreams. This requires substantial coordination and leadership across multiple Commercial Bank-owned workstreams to ensure alignment within Commercial Bank and across and partner/ dependency workstreams
Manage risks, issues, and dependencies logs and escalate items that need management attention and/ or are putting key milestones or outcomes at risk
Conduct analysis and form recommendations to address specific issues or risks
Organize and lead meetings with cross-functional participants and drive any resulting action plans
Support financial reporting and metrics production
Produce regular status reporting to support firmwide integration management office, and support Commercial Bank executive status reporting and integration updates for leadership as needed
Participate in and provide leadership to certain major conversion events, and coordinate logistics for command centers that will be in place for each major conversion event
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Excellent project or program management experience in a banking environment; minimum 5 years relevant experience, which may include time working for a financial institution and/ or a consulting firm or related discipline
Prior leadership experience with merger/ acquisition integration and/ or migration or conversion activity is beneficial
Knowledge in at least one area of the following wholesale banking operations is required - deposits, payments, wholesale lending, and digital channel delivery
Experience working in cross-functional teams and partnering across disciplines, including technology, operations, product management, and client service
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
Strong influencing and communication skills. The ability to frame issues and risks to drive prioritization and decision making is critical
Must be comfortable with change and some level of ambiguity, particularly with respect to the nature of this role and the opportunities that will follow for the successful candidate
