Job Description:
What is the role?
The Commercial Analyst - Supply & Optimization, is an integrative role, tasked with driving the management and optimization of key commercial aspects of Shell’s existing midstream business in T&T, including:
Commercial Operations: the purchase of volumes from the upstream gas suppliers and processing, and sale of LNG and NGLs.
Optimization: Leading members of a natural team in identifying and progressing opportunities, ensuring quality decision making to deliver incremental value and manage and mitigate risk.
Continuous Improvement: The role requires a continuous improvement mindset, updating and developing tools to aid in the delivery of value adding opportunities.
Stakeholder management: Deepening relationships across Shell businesses.
Also, you will be responsible of the other duties and responsibilities below.
Manage the contractual obligations under commercial agreements, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Manage revenue and working capital for T&T business, including ensuring verification and accuracy of outputs and improvement to processes.
Manage corporate governance of midstream entities.
Support team in the implementation of restructured agreements, where tools, processes, governance evolves with these new agreements.
Lead on commercial projects / commercial opportunities e.g., contract changes.
Seek out and execute incremental and game-changing value adding opportunities, including managing the natural team on identification and maturation of individual opportunities, performing valuation for managed opportunities, evaluating risks vs. expected value on opportunities and ensure the best defensible outcome for Shell is achieved in all discussions.
Support wider team with mid (restructuring and internal price reviews) to long term (new projects) opportunities.
Support the development of optimization levers under restructured agreements.
Support management LNG schedule forecasting and performance management.
Requirements
What we need from you
Must have legal authorization to work in Trinidad & Tobago on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical, business or finance areas, preferably a master’s degree.
You must have a minimum of 5 years professional experience with commercial aspects of an LNG value chain.
Strong analytical / valuation skillset.
Interpersonal and relationship skills to facilitate improvements in the value chain ways of working.
CI mindset and self-starter.
