Connexus Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Sales Team as Commercial Account Representative. In this role you will interact extensively with commercial utility members promoting energy conservation and wholesale demand reduction, and helping to identify electrification opportunities.

Key Responsibilities & Results:
Conduct face to face meetings with small to medium size commercial members located in the Connexus Energy service area, building relationships, helping with cost saving strategies, and identifying electrification opportunities and low cost/no cost energy conservation opportunities.
Continue the development and use of our Customer (Member) Relationship Management (CRM/MRM) system.
Partner with other internal departments on running successful sales campaigns.
Assess commercial rebate program management with assigned member accounts in compliance with the Conservation Improvement Program (CIP).
Build and maintain positive relationships and identify opportunities with trade ally partners and builders of commercial projects, such as multi-family housing, apartments, and businesses.
Required Talents, Skills, Education, Expertise:
Knowledge acquired through a bachelor’s degree in energy conservation, data management, sales/marketing, communications, or related field.
Three years of experience working in energy conservation, demand response programs, HVAC, electrical, sales, or customer service is required.
Skilled in the use of computers and the associated programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of a CRM system.
Ability to perform complex energy analysis computations and prepare and maintain rebate records and reports.
Working knowledge of energy conservation and marketing methods, techniques and practices related to data and data analytics.
Ability to bring members, suppliers, and contractors together to accomplish energy saving goals.
Ability to develop and deliver various types of presentations to individuals and large groups.
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious and effective working relationships.
Ability to deal tactfully, persuasively, and effectively with the public.
Able and willing to attend evening and/or weekend meetings, fairs, and trade shows on occasion.
Able and willing to work extra hours when necessary or when workload requires.
Able and willing to accept occasional overnight travel to participate in training sessions or other work-related assignments.
Possess a valid MN Class C driver’s license.
