Description

We are seeking a Collections Specialist for a contract to hire opportunity located onsite in FAIRFIELD, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

• Support the credit analysts in monitoring and managing the A/R

• Ensure the precise and efficient extraction of data from our ERP (AS400)

• Perform moderate data manipulation using Excel

• Manage communications with clients via phone and email for collection and administrative purposes

• Handle credit and debit resolutions

• Supervise the collection work for the assigned customer base, including B2B customer interaction for collecting overdue balances

• Make decisions on releasing or shipping products within specific time frames and notifying customers as per company guidelines

• Evaluate credit updates for determining credit terms and credit limit increases

• Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve disputes and facilitate payments promptly

• Manage incoming customer calls and answer queries regarding invoices

• Respond to vendors about customer trade reference requests

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with customers and internal staff.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in using AS/400 - Application System/400.

• Ability to utilize Office tools effectively.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel.

• Experience in Collections - Commercial is a must.

• Strong skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

• Excellent email communication skills.

• Previous experience in the Wholesale Distribution - Non-Durable industry is preferred.
