Advanced Assembly/Summit Colorado has an open position for Coding Engineer (1st shift).

　　Coding Engineer translating and coding raw customer engineering data into final production assembly format. Review and verify data with customer. Support production floor as required.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Research engineering related problems that are submitted by Employees, Customers, Engineering, Sales, Receiving, and Purchasing and provide understandable answers.Resolve engineering related issues that affect the build of the product (Component orientation and rotation questions, Components that dont fit the pads on the PCB, component package issues, Assembly issues, incorrect CAD and Gerber files, incorrect stencil, Assembly BOM Coding issues, etc.).Interact with customers for follow-up via phone and email in various phases of production.Ensure the complete reception of all documentation and files needed to assemble the product (Stencil, CAD and Gerber data, ECO, Drawings, Assembly procedures, etc.).Evaluate and provide detailed work instructions for stencils, special fixtures, special processes, etc.Ensure that stencils are ordered in advance for all project builds that need them.Create CAD and My600 files.Maintain a complete and accurate component library that is used to create the Bill of Materials (BOM). Make additions and corrections to components based on input from Datasheets, Production work center, and customer feedback. This system must be in sync with the pick and place machines component library and the assembly hole data library.Correct BOM discrepancies as reported by customers, the Production work center and other sources.Working with Sales personnel, perform pre-assembly job reviews on all jobs to ascertain if the job can be built by Advanced Assembly.Working with Production personnel, perform pre-assembly job reviews on all repeat jobs to ascertain if previous build problems were corrected and documented prior to the build (BOM updated, ECOs incorporated into the BOM, Customer feedback incorporated into the BOM, Component library corrections completed, Part Numbers updated in BOM, etc.)Other duties as assigned.Education/Experience:

　　Associate degree or equivalent.1+ years experience in the field or related area or combination of education and experience.Familiarity with Datasheet.Familiarity with SMT / Through Hole Electronic components.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity in the electronic PCB industry.Proficient with MS Office software.Familiarity with CAD programs.Detail oriented.Ability to work extra hours as needed.Compensation/Benefits:Summit offers a variety of health and benefit programs.
