Job Overview
Burndy Lincoln is looking for a CNC Technician who will program dual spindle lathes with live tooling and y-axis capability. The technician will also be responsible for advancing machining techniques, with the goal of consolidating process steps and eliminating as many manual downstream operations as feasible.
A Day In The Life
Program CNC equipment
Select the most efficient tooling and method of machining for various metals
Improve existing programs to increase efficiency
Setting up CNC lathes and mills as requested
Training of machine operators to run machines safely and efficiently, training to include tooling and program changes.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
Perform repetitive tasks
Work alone or in a team environment
Regular good attendance is essential
Ability to stand, sit, stoop or bend, reach above shoulders up to 25% of time
Perform other job duties as assigned
What will help you thrive in this role?
Individual must have a minimum of 5 years experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machining centers.
Individual must also be proficient in the use of CAD and/or CAM software.
