General Function: Set up and operate numerically controlled machines to perform series of machining operations, such as turning, milling, boring, threading and facing on parts according to work instructions and procedures to assure Belvac's quality of work is upheld.

Primary Responsibilities Labor grade 2 CNC Machinist C:
It is every BPM, Inc. Employee's responsibility to be aware of and work with Belvac's current documented Quality Management System as it pertains to their job requirementsProvides information to make new set-up sheets correct errors in process and set-up sheets Reads prints, job order, tooling instructions or standard charts to determine product specifications, work-holding arrangement, cutting speeds, feed rates and cutting tools to be usedKnow set-ups/fixtures and use ofObserves numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speeds of machining cuts.Lifts parts manually or with hoist and positions and secures it in fixtureCalls down a programUse of appropriate measuring equipmentEstablishes zero reference point on part, such as at intersection of two edges or over hold location.Follow established Safety Policies and ProceduresPerform preventative maintenance on machine center and related equipment.Deburr/Part mark as neededOperates at least one CNC machineAll employees performing a work sequence on any work order are required to physically move and transact the material to the next sequence once their task has been completed.All employees utilizing dispatch sheets shall run jobs in date sequence without exception, unless directed otherwise by cognizant Manager and/or Production Planners.It is every employee's responsibility to improve processes to reduce set-up and run-time standards.
