　　Overall Career Summary

　　The CNC machinist / experienced operator(s) conduct the manufacturing ofrailroad track materials via various stations within the shop. Thisposition works at various CNC 3 and 5 axle machines. This positionmultitasks, collaborates with others, communicates with other workgroups, and assists in projects as needed throughout the shop setting.

　　Requirements

　　Primary Responsibilities:

　　Utilize machines at various stations to complete a rail product

　　Program CNC software and manage production from machine

　　Troubleshoot any issues - inspect quality of finished product

　　Utilize manual tools and equipment as needed

　　Read work orders

　　Read blue prints

　　Read plans for machine specifications and product output

　　Qualifications & Skills:

　　Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions

　　Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change

　　Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed to count and takeinventory

　　Experience using a tape measure

　　Experience communicating with others within a team setting

　　Experience in labor within a heavy industry

　　Ability to read and understand G-code

　　GED / High School Diploma

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Previous CNC machine experience

　　OSHA knowledge / certifications

　　Physical Requirements:

　　Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and staminanecessary to complete jobs in various areas.

　　Must be able to lift and carry and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at atime.

　　Must be able to work in all weather conditions.

　　Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day

　　Must be able to work any shift, when needed.
