JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position: CNC Centerless Grinder Location: Brookfield,WI Job Id: 236 # of Openings: 1 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Receive andreview work assignments; verify that work pieces and routing matchregarding count, type and proper sequence. Follow established proceduresfor machine set up, including; select proper grind wheels, bushings,collets and programs to be use; input tool and set up values; grindfirst piece, inspect, adjust as needed. Dress and form abrasive wheelsusing standard dressing devices. Mount and secure tools in machine. Setand adjust wheel spindle speeds, feed rate and travel stops. Runequipment in auto-cycle whenever possible, continually inspectingfinished tools for correct dimensions. Set up and operate more than onemachine whenever possible and when management determines that order sizeand cycle times are appropriate. Enter all production information intothe data collection system. Monitor equipment performance; reportproblems and request required maintenance to avoid unnecessary downtimeand machine damage or repairs. Perform SPC procedures on all jobs.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Previous experience with basic machine operation orrelated technical training. One year of direct machine setup andoperation experience. Previous experience involving principles ofgrinding. Must be able to read, understand and follow writteninstructions and shop drawings. Above average math skills. Must be ableto calculate appropriate machine settings and adjust accordingly. Musthave good math and trigonometry skills. Must be able to use requiredprecision measuring and testing equipment. Broad knowledge of cuttingtool design and universal grinding procedures through using multi-axisCNC equipment. Computer literate, able to enter programs and directions.Strongly preferred candidates with previous experience operating CNCgrinding equipment such as; Walter, Studer, ANCA, Star, Schutte,Rollomatic, Hawemat, Reinecker.
