We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team and provide direct patient care. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing basic patient care and assisting nurses. You will be helping patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition, as well as taking vital signs, recording patient information, and monitoring patient progress. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and understand the importance of providing quality care. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an approved CNA training program
Experience: Preferably, some Long-term care, med-surg, or related
License/Registration: CNA I-current listing as CNA I with Division of Facility Services with no substantial findings CNA II- above and current listing as CNAII with Board of Nursing with no substantial findings; Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required Other: Ability to work with others; CNAI must attend Monitoring Blood Glucose Training within 6 months of employment. Behavioral Health; Emergency Department; and Float Pool are required to have CPI annually.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires frequently: pushing 40 lbs; pulling 80 lbs; standing; walking; repetitive trunk rotation-standing; manual dexterity; both handedness (both hands must be used) near vision; far vision; hearing (requires hearing whispered voice); Occasionally: lifting 35 lbs from floor to waist and waist to eye level; one handed carrying 15lbs; work kneeling; work squatting/crouching; visual color discrimination; and visual depth perception.
