The multidisciplinary team consists of psychiatrists, NPs,RNs, behavioral health specialists, CNAs, social workers, occupationaltherapists, recreational therapists, clergy and chemical dependencycounselors. The CNA is also responsible fortransporting and transferring patients within the medical complex in asafe and efficient manner. The CNA will also assist with data collectionto facilitate the delivery of delegated nursing care. MajorResponsibilities: 1. Assists with basic care for patients in the areasof nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility and safety. 2. Transportsand transfers patients within the medical complex using appropriateequipment (ex. LIKO ceiling lifts) and utilizing safety precautions asindicated by the patient\'s health status. 3. Assists nursing staff inlifting and ambulating patients using appropriate practice guidelines.4. Transports bodies to the morgue. 5. Maintains environment andequipment and will locate and deliver appropriate equipment to CentralService and Maintenance departments. 6. Works collaboratively with thehealth care team members to effectively communicate and documentaccurate information. 7. Demonstrates dependability, organizationalskills and effective use of time by setting priorities to completedelegated work within established time frames in accordance with unitCBO/P and unit guidelines. 8.
