  Collins Aerospace is looking for a CMM Programmer/ Receiving Inspection Tech to join our team in Fairfield, CA! The CMM Programmer/Receiving Inspection Technician III conducts incoming inspections of products (parts, assemblies, raw materials, etc.) to validate compliance to design data requirements which include drawings, specifications, and contract requirements using basic inspection methods and tools. This role will be onsite.

  Compensation:

  29.50 per hour starting rate*

  Paid vacation & sick time

  Eligible for Annual Increases

  Schedule:

  Monday – Friday,7:00a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  Overtime available and/or mandatory on a business need basis

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Ability to create CMM Programs using CMM Manager software

  Ability to validate CMM programs

  Knowledge of setting up and running product on CMM equipment

  Inspects a variety of product(s) using measuring/inspection instruments (e.g. micrometers, gauges and calipers) with proper inspection techniques.

  Reads, interprets and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation.

  Performs receiving inspection of manufactured products from the supply chain

  Operates computer systems to perform inspection tasks

  Verifies all product documentation for accuracy and completeness.

  Administers visual and physical inspections of units and subassemblies.

  Performs administrative tasks associated with file management.

  Conducts Product Audits when required

  Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.

  CMM(Coordinate Measuring Machines) Programming Experience

  Experiencing in reading/interpreting drawings, blueprints and/or specifications

  U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Prior Aerospace industry or similar regulated industry experience

  Experience with SAP

  Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under stress.

  Ability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

  The salary range for this role is $27.01 to $36.55; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
