About Cloud Principal Architect

  Step into the role of a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies.

  As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, Home Lending Technology division, your role will be to utilize your expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies. You will also support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Your advanced architecture capabilities will be leveraged to collaborate with colleagues across the organization, promoting best-in-class outcomes.

  Job responsibilities

  Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies

  Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities

  Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design

  Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others

  Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert

  Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies

  Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions

  Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

  Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience

  Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

  Expertise in one or more programming language(s), deep knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture

  Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

  Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines, experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager

  Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives, Understanding of the business

  Practical cloud native experience

  AWS Solution Architect Professional certification

  Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  Minimum of 10 - 15 years of development or technical architecture experience with demonstrated increases in responsibility

  Knowledge of major public cloud platforms, ideally with current solutions architecture certification in at least one (preferably AWS).

  ideal candidate is someone with Home Lending/Mortgage Processing experience domain knowledge

  Minimum of 10 years using industry-standard architecture methodologies (Domain Driven Design, TOGAF, UML, etc.)
