　　Our Xeon Products and Solutions (XPS) Software team is looking for software performance/optimization engineers to work with our largest hyperscaler cloud service provider customers.

　　Cloud Performance Engineer designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and/or on-prem deployment models. Runs benchmarks reflecting customer environment, analyses results, finds bottlenecks and proposes performance improvements. Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software. May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud. May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

　　In your job you will be focused on Intel Xeon Scalable processors, which feature built-in accelerators and advanced security technologies for the most in-demand workload requirements - all while offering the greatest cloud choice and application portability. XPS is part of the global Data Center and AI organization that develops the products and technologies that power tens of millions of servers sold worldwide. This includes high-end co-processors for supercomputers, low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, and solutions for big data and intelligent devices.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Deep knowledge and understanding of Linux

　　Familiarity with installing and configuring software systems

　　Run workloads and collect performance data.

　　Experience with collecting performance data for workloads/benchmarks preferably on Intel Silicon and platforms.

　　Experience with software development on server-side software.

　　Experience (expertise preferred) in C/C++ or Java programming and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or JavaScript.

　　Experience with debugging and testing.

　　Preferred Requirements:

　　Experience building scalable, fault tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems, preferably on Linux

　　In-depth analysis of performance data, reporting analysis findings and optimizing on Intel technologies.

　　Analyze Performance findings and provide recommendations to optimize and tune software and hardware.

　　1 plus years of experience with software optimization and performance profiling tools.

　　Familiarity with hardware debug using software tools, EMONs, trace-based captures.

　　Experience in architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems in large scale cloud native services with deep domain expertise in one or more of these key areas

　　Designing and operating distributed systems, networking design and implementation experience

　　Experience with AWS cloud and services
