The CRC I will report to Dr. Creary, a Health Services Researcher in the Research Institute, Center for Child Health Equity and Outcomes Research. Dr. Creary's research is focused on increasing effective utilization of treatments to improve the outcomes of patients with sickle cell disease. Dr. Creary is developing and testing novel interventions to help patients and families affected by sickle cell make informed health care decisions and adhere to medical treatment regimens. Her research includes working with children and adolescents with sickle cell disease but also parents, caregivers, and providers of these youth. The primary responsibility for this Clinical Research Coordinator will be to conduct, coordinate and manage Dr. Creary's current and future research projects. The associate, however, may also provide support for other research projects at Nationwide Children's Hospital that are related to sickle cell. A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesWhat Will You Be DoingPrimary Activities will include (but may not be limited to):Direct interaction with prospective study participants to recruit and enroll them on clinical research studiesCoordinating and collecting data for current and future research projects. This will include designing new studies, submitting applications for research funding, implementing research protocols, recruiting and enrolling study participants, collecting and analyzing data, disseminating results, and closing out studies.Ensuring that each step of the research protocols is completed and compliant with the Institutional Review Board, funding agencies, and other entities (i.e. Clinical trials tracking) by completing study submissions, amendments/progress reports, continuing reviews, and final reports.Providing quality assurance for the data collected on research projects.Performing miscellaneous related duties as required.Abstract and manuscript writing, preparation, and submissionQualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Evidence of exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required to interactive effectively with study participants, research staff, a
