  Position SummaryThe CRC Ireportsto the Clinical Research Manageror Principal Investigator andcollaborates with Investigators and theteamto assume responsibility for the designated patient management and coordination of several clinical studies,with a focus on lung cancer.

  DutiesThe responsibilities of the CRC I will include but not limited to the following:

  Recruitment of study participants (e.g.identifying, screening potentialparticipantsand obtaining informed consent);

  Executing/coordinating all aspects of patient study visits as per study protocol (e.g. source documentation including adverse events and medications, administration of questionnaires, sample processing and shipping, etc.);

  Implementing and coordinating all aspects of data management including data collection, data entry into CRFs, and source documentation, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines;

  Reviewing and assessing study-related documents;

  Participate in internal monitoring and quality assurance activities;

  Prepare study status reports for investigators

  Submissions to the Research Ethics Board and other regulatory agencies asrequired;

  Liaising with sponsors, externalstakeholdersand members of the clinical care team

  Liaising with patients to coordinate research appointments

  QualificationsAt minimumBachelor’sdegree, or recognized equivalent, in a health or science-related discipline

  3 years clinical and/or professional experience, with at least 1 year in a clinical research setting

  Transplant or Thoracicexperience in a clinical/research setting is preferredbut notrequired

  Recognized certification in clinical research (through ACRP orSoCRAe.g. CCRP) or working towards it

  Knowledge of investigator-driven research processes, budgeting, contract review and mandatory reporting

  Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, such as ICH/GCP guidelines, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki and FDA CFR and Health Canada TPDis mandatory

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  Strong organizational and time management skillswith exceptional attention to detail

  Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team; self-motivatedand reliable

  Strong analytical andproblem solvingskills

  Proficiencywith MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  Willingness to learn phlebotomy

  Must enjoy being on-site and interacting with patients (including over the phone)
