We envision a world in which seizure freedom is achieved for all children through closed-loop early warnings/treatments and aim to provide critical data to further the understanding of epilepsy for medical professionals, families, and patients alike by using machine learning and predictive algorithms to prevent seizures and diffuse the stigma of the disease.
This Clinical Research Assistant I will be responsible for:
Consenting and recruiting participants and written communications with participants/families. Providing detailed background information regarding the study to families, communicating all policies and procedures, and responding to inquiries.
Serving as liaison to the families/participants in the research studies and acting as a resource. Troubleshooting resolution of any issues or concerns that may arise throughout the study.
Executing study protocols.
Data management creating data bases, data entry, verification, analysis, graphing.
Coordinating and preparing the necessary documentation for IRB with the Site PI of the study.
Creating and preparing data collection statistical reports and analytical summaries for distribution to study research team for review and analysis. May contribute to literature searches and assistance with preparation of grant materials and writing of articles and summary papers of studies for submission to journals.
Coordinating activities between the hospital, collaborating sites, and research laboratories to ensure correct participant tracking, data management, and testing/processing and sending out instructions specific to the study.
Monitoring and reviewing data collection and data entry and informed consent procedures, ensuring consistency of application for each study.
Participating in regular meetings.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Psychology.
High attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to multi task, analytical skills to gather and interpret data.
Well developed communication skills.
