The Richard D. Wood Jr. Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment (CFDT) is looking for a Clinical Research Assistant I to join the Clinical Outcomes Data Archive (CODA) team. The mission of the Clinical Outcomes Data Archive is to analyze longitudinal clinical outcomes data on all patients seen within the CFDT throughout their childhood. Data from CODA is used to answer clinical questions, support quality improvement, and ongoing research studies.
This position includes opportunity for shadowing clinicians of various specialties, research partners, and broad exposure to clinical care from perinatal/maternal-fetal through birth, neonatal and pediatric care. A Brief OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or other study team members, this role provides support in the conduct of clinical research.
Job responsibilities may include human subject research activities including but not limited to subject enrollment, data/sample collection, data entry, and regulatory submissions support.
What you will doProvide technical and administrative support in the conduct of clinical research:Patient/research participant schedulingPatient/Research Participant screening for inclusion/exclusion criteria or case historyData collectionData entryData managementLaboratory sample processingClinical research study procedures or questionnaire administrationOrganization of research records and/or other study related documentationResearch Study ComplianceAdhere to IRB approved protocols and compliance with HIPAA and handling confidential materialsComply with Institutional policies, SOPs and guidelinesComply with federal, state, and sponsor policiesAdditional Responsibilities may include:Consent subjects, with appropriate authorization and trainingDocument and report adverse eventsMaintain study source documentsComplete case report forms (paper and electronic data capture)Assist with IRB/regulatory submissionsComplete case report forms or other study documentation (paper and electronic data capture)Follow-up careOrder materials/suppliesSchedule research meetings
Education QualificationsHigh School Diploma / GED RequiredBachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience QualificationsPrevious relevant clinical research experience RequiredAt least one (1) year of relevant clinical research experience Preferred
Skills and AbilitiesFamiliarity with IRB and human subject protection.
