　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　As the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, you will assist the Director of Pharmacy in managing day-to-day operations of the department. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the pharmacy clinical programs. Other responsibilities include coordinating pharmacy workflow by overseeing daily activities of the department and delegating assignments accordingly.

　　You will oversee the preparation for the Pharmacy and therapeutics Committee, formulary management, as well as policy and procedure development across the healthcare spectrum.

　　Assisting in recruitment initiatives for attracting and developing a team of highly capable, committed supervisors and staff.

　　You will develop and actively participate in training and mentorship programs for pharmacists, pharmacy students, residents, techs, nurses and physicians.

　　The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will provide a minimum of two inservices per year on rational medication therapy, disease management, and pharmaceutical care to health care professionals.

　　Assure pharmacy staff development, new employee orientation, and ongoing training.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Bachelor's or Doctorate degree from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy

　　Licensed Pharmacist through the Virginia Board of Health Professions

　　Minimum of four years of experience as a hospital pharmacist

　　Minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy management experience in a senior level management position preferred.

　　ASHP accredited residency preferred
