Schedule Details:Day Shift with variable start times: 0730,0800, 0830 \"On-call\" requirements every tenth weekend and 1 weekdayevery other week. What You Will Do: The Interventional Radiology (IR)Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive level of care topatients undergoing both diagnostic and interventional procedures.Responsibilities: Provide pre/intra/post procedural nursing care(evaluation, assessment, monitoring, intervention, and education)related to diagnostic and interventional procedures Transportingpatients to/from IR to day surgery or inpatient unit Administration ofintravenous and oral medications to patients Management of patientsreceiving procedural medications Actively monitors patients during allIR procedures Knowledge of diagnostic/interventional suppliesParticipates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR asneeded Knowledge of diagnostic/interventional supplies Provides nursingsupport for procedures in CT, MRI and the OR as needed Applies nursingtheory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patientresponses to health, illness and procedure.
