Clinical Medical Social Worker - Healthy Weight and Nutrition/Bariatrics ProgramRequisition ID2023-47453CategorySocial WorkOverviewThe social worker in this role is a valued member of a passionate and highly skilled interdisciplinary team participating in the care of pediatric patients through 21 years of age receiving weight management treatment, which may include bariatric surgery. This involves provision of clinical medical social work services that include supporting families with building and sustaining healthy lifestyle habits, coping and stress management, and overall goal setting. Other responsibilities include creating content for and facilitating monthly support groups and telehealth sessions, linking families to needed resources and support, and participating in monthly interdisciplinary team educational development sessions.Provides developmentally appropriate, outcome-focused diagnostic and therapeutic service to patients and families in accordance with the scope of practice as defined in Chapter 4757 of the Ohio Revised Code, Section 4757.01 et seq.
