Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting providers with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks such as chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from clinic services. Conveys a positive image of the clinic. May be assigned to a specific medical specialist to help with patient care related to that specialty. The Registered Nurse serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing general services to a wide variety of populations including pediatric, medical, surgical, ambulatory, orthopedic, geriatric, and women’s health.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

Telephone triage

Care coordination

Refill processing

Checks schedules and organizes patient flow

Accompanies patients to the exam room and updates electronic medical

Relays information regarding follow-up care and return visit to patients and families

Schedules tests and procedures as directed

Completes forms and requisitions as needed

Respects/promotes patient rights

Provide patients with ongoing education about their health status, diet, activity level, and medications like warfarin

Use clinical judgment and protocol guidelines to interpret INR results and adjust warfarin dosages

Monitor patients for signs of bleeding and thromboembolism, and refer them to a physician if needed

Qualifications

Required

RN

BLS

Preferred

EPIC experience

EMR experience

1 year nursing experience

Pay Range

$26.38 - $38.26 /hour
