  Description:

  Facilitates, prior authorizes, and schedules MercyOne Clinic patients for appointments, referrals tests and procedures. Adheres to MercyOne Northeast Iowa's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of MercyOne Northeast Iowa.

  What you will Do:  

  Receives and reviews referral orders.

  Contacts insurance company to assure prior approval.

  Provides problem-solving support for the referral process.

  Acts as a collaborating member of the clinic medical home team and is highly committed to a team construct.

  Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

  *Hours/Schedule: *  

  1.0 FTE (80 hours biweekly)

  *Minimum Qualifications: *    

  Graduate of an accredited nursing or medical assistant program preferred. Candidates with Certification and/or appropriate experience in a related field (lab, X-ray, etc.) or experience with insurance prior authorization may be considered

  A minimum of one year of experience.

  MercyOne Oelwein Medical Center , Community Level IV Trauma Designation
